The desk
About Peptide Global
A news desk for the making of peptide medicines. We follow the factory, not the patient: plants, chemistry, trade rules and deals.
Every story carries a site plate
The plate is the short version of the story: who, where, how much, what it makes and how far it has got. It sits beside the text on every story page and under the lead on the front.
Under each story we add three plain lines: In one line, What it changes for supply, and Still open. Then the source, by name.
- 01Company
- Who owns or runs the site. For a sale, the new owner.
- 02Site
- Town and country of the plant, and a pin on the map. Rules and explainers have no pin.
- 03Money
- The figure the company or government announced, in its own currency. A plan over years, not money spent.
- 04Makes
- What the site does: active ingredient, sterile filling, pens, or a mix.
- 05Online
- When the company says the first product comes out. Approval often comes later.
- 06Status
- Where the build stands: announced, building or running (shelved if stopped).
Announced
Plan made public; ground not yet broken or site not yet chosen.
Building
Under construction, being fitted out or starting up in phases.
Running
Making product today (possibly for a new owner).
Shelved
Paused, cancelled or sold before it ran.
Not medical advice
We write about how medicines are made and moved. Nothing on Peptide Global tells anyone whether to take a medicine, how much, or where to buy it. We do not cover dosing, research-chemical sellers or compounding recipes.
Numbers are claims
Investment totals, job counts and opening years come from companies and governments. They are plans and they change. We say "about" when a figure was rounded and name the source on every story.
Corrections
If we get a date, a figure or a site wrong, we fix the story and note the change at the end of the text. Write to the desk with the source.
Independence
No sponsored stories, no paid placements, no affiliate links. We hold no positions in the companies we cover.
The Thursday run sheet
One email a week with the plants that moved, the deals that closed and one explainer on how a peptide is made. Plain text, short, no tracking pixels.
Cover photos come from Wikimedia Commons under free licences and are cropped to fit. Molecule drawings are made by Peptide Global from published sequences.
